Emma Stanley tells us that anglers were reporting excellent fishing around Shannon Harbour with one angler landing over 80lbs of fish on Wednesday last week. Water levels are low for the time of year but anglers are very satisfied with the fishing.
Fishing on Pallas Lake has been slow so far, this year but good crowds are expected for June bank holiday weekend.
Areas around Cloghan, Co. Offaly have been receiving more visitors in recent weeks with positive reports coming back regards stocks in the area.
New Angling stands that have been recently installed have seen a very positive response from both visiting and local anglers in Portumna and the knock-on effect is higher numbers visiting the area. Overall, reports have been positive from areas spoken about and feedback is generally positive.
