While Corrib has been fairly quiet for reports of late, we hear that mayfly and sedge fishing picked up in July. The heatwave at the end of July put a stop to that, but the cooler weather of the last two weeks has improved fishing again. The last few weeks of the season will hopefully see good sedge and olive fishing.
Robbie Thomson was out fishing with angling guide Larry McCarthy of Corrib View Lodge (www.corribangling.com), and he sent us in this photo of his personal best trout. A fine fish of 5lbs 6.5oz taken on wetfly. Well done Robbie!
