When the Edenderry Coarse Angling Club organised their final club match of the season for a date in September, they didnβt think they would be fishing in 26Β°C of blistering sunshine, but thatβs what we had to deal with on the day. With the Indian Summer, the venue on the Grand Canal had dropped a foot over the week and was running crystal clear – not god conditions for daytime fishing!
Despite the hot, bright weather, the low water and the clear water, the venue actually fishing well enough on the day, with bream and tench both helping to make up good weights for competing anglers.Β Top man on the day was Dean Murray with a lovely net one off the end.
Overall
- Dean Murray 17-00 Bream and Tench
- Tommy Burke 7-14 Roach
- Aidan Devoy 7-01 Tench
- Paul Kelly 6-06 mixed bag.
