The VDE Baggers AC were on Lough Muckno last week holding a fund raising match to support Youth Team Ireland who are heading off to the world champs at the end of the month. A great turnout of 49 anglers saw €830 raised to help the youth team on their way.
It was a windy day on the lake, but it fished very well and most of the top weights were caught on the pole. And it was a junior world champ Charlie Richards who showed his class on the day as he took advantage of an end peg on Concra Wood to post a match-winning 14kg. Second place went to Neil Mazurek with 10.5kg and third went to Ewan Reed with 9.65kg.
