This report from the organisers of the Perch Master League 2024:

Today we had 3rd Leg of our league on a section of a river in Co Carlow, a good river when conditions are right for fishing and holds a good stock of perch. But today conditions were far from good for predator fish such as Perch, but anglers stick to the plan and managed to catch some fine conditioned Perch!

Before we started, Westin-Fishing and Lucky John (Lucky John Ireland) surprised us with some lures for all anglers!

One scorching day on the river and most of the anglers “struggled” to catch perch to size that counted.

After the picture’s and videos were checked we had our winners for this leg.

  • First place – Tomek Narolski
  • Second place – David Dennis
  • Third place – Ben Moore
  • Longest Perch – Ben More

For the prize giving X Zone Lures had some lures for Top 3 also they received extra lures from Westin Fishing and Lucky John.

Well done to everyone taking part on this leg and we do some preparation for next leg in June! Well done to winners, Massive Thank You to our sponsors.

Lough Derg Predator Challenge boat competition will follow next week and in August Lough Derg Perch Bonanza .

Busy summer ahead.
