Lough Owel is a great place to bring a novice angler has been producing the goods for a few anglers over the last couple of weeks. Cousins Seamus McGuinness and Ben McLachlan were fishing on Lough Owel last week and they caught some lovely trout. Ben’s catches were a bit more special as they were his first trout ever. All the fish caught were sportingly released.
Lough Owel has plenty to offer more experienced anglers too, there is a good range of hatches through the trout season to keep any fly angler on his toes.
