Anglers fishing Annagh Lake in Cavan have reported some great fishing for rainbow trout on buzzers at the minute. The lake is stocked regularly with rainbow trout, and some of those overwinter in the lake, growing to a decent size, and a few of those have been turning up after the recent mild spell.

Annagh Lake is a clear spring-fed lake and has great facilities including an angling hut, compost toilet and boat jetty that enables wheelchair access. The fishing is run by the local angling clubs, and details on the fishery, including permits, etc, are available here.
