The Edenderry Festival drew to a close last Friday, bringing an end to 5 full days of competition fishing. The festival consists of two separate competitions: a 2-Dayer and a 3-Dayer. The 2-Dayer was fished on Tuesday and Thursday, and Tony Richardson came out on top with 16lb 12oz.

The 3-Dayer was fished over Monday, Wednesday, & Friday, and after three days of fishing, there was only 10 ounces separating the top three. Liverpool angler Jeff Stirrat was rewarded for his long-service of 30 years travelling to the event with a competition win with a total of 22lb 1oz, closely followed by fello Liverpudlians Phil Walters (21lb 15oz) and Gavin Charnock (21lb 7oz).
