Mayfly coming to an end on Conn & Cullin

1549

Mayfly hatches continue to reduce. Anglers reported fishing Cloghans Bay, Flannery’s Bay and Cragh Island on Tuesday 20th to no avail but had some success in Massbrook and Victoria Bay on Saturday 24th landing two trout on the wet fly. One was to the measure, and they also rose some fish on dry Mayflies.

An Garda Síochána held their annual competition fishing out from Gortnor Abbey on Wednesday and Thursday, 21st and 22nd May.  A full report on this will be included in next week’s angling report.  Also “The Presidents Cup” was due to be fished over the weekend but had to be postponed until further notice due to inclement weather forecast.
