Kevin Lyons reports on the coarse angling his clients have been enjoying in the Longford area…

Nigel and Howard from Devon who we reported on last week finished their 10 day holiday in style with plenty of Bream, Hybrids, Roach and Tench.

The high winds and down pours of rain did at times make it near impossible to fish but they struggled on and in the end were rewarded for their time and hard work. The last two days of their holiday saw them catch plenty of Tench, good Hybrids, big Roach and a few Bream.

Bob Reynolds along with friends Max Bohill, Paul Geden, Ron Harris and Les Haines were over to Ireland once again for their annual fishing trip, the guys have been coming for around 17 years so are no strangers when it comes to the fishing in Ireland.

This year they decided to stay with Kevin and Jane at Melview  Lodge in Longford, the first couple of days they fished and prebaited a venue which produced Skimmers and Roach and later on a few nice Bream started to show but it was decided by everyone that they would change the venue to suit everyone’s kind of fishing.

One of the places fished was the canal which produced some nice Tench and a few Roach, Kevin said the weather was not always the best for them but they suck with it and a couple of the days they all had some nice Tench, Hybrids and Roach. Good luck lads and hope to see you in Ireland next year.
