NCFFI National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland reports:

Anglers have been baggin’ on the canals today with over 180lb of fish caught. Large bream are present and Frank Holding took full advantage for 28lbs of skimmers and bream to take him into the lead at day two. Second place Conor Browne had a lovely net of roach all caught on hemp for 19lbs 12oz.

With the fishing still tough on the larger lakes across Ireland there have been some great catches on the canals this week.

If you want give them a go there is still chance to fish the Leinster Festival on either Sat or Sun or both.

Or why not try the Rosslea Festival fishing the wee lakes of the Upper Lough Erne Region in County Femanagh?

For the juniors it’s the 5th round of the Oaklands lake League on Saturday and the 3rd round of the Royal Enfield CAC on Monday evening.
