Day 2 of the Irish Angling Development Alliance Open Feeder Event was held on Lough Muckno today Sunday 16th September at Concra Wood Upper and Lower. The weather was very changeable, starting off bright and sunny with a light breeze. Later this changed to showers some of which were very heavy and the wind became quite squally and blustery.

Circa 80 anglers participated and all was still to play for after Day 1. Fishing was tough again on Day 2 and anglers were generally fishing into shallow water of 7-9ft. At the start bites when they appeared were very timid and often difficult to see but when the fish were on bites were strong and deliberate. Anglers fished between 35 and 50 turns with double red maggot. Quality roach were again the order of the day but some bream and hybrids were also taken. Notable weights taken today were 13.500kg, 12.670kg, 10.570kg and 10.350.
