Members of Belmullet Sea Angling Club enjoyed a successful day last Wednesday, while fishing with visiting sea angling journalist Mike Thrussel of www.worldseafishing.com on board An Gearóidín. Fishing around the Erris Head area, the group had a wide variety of species including mackerel, some fine ling, pollack, pouting, grey gurnard, tub gurnard, coal fish and poor cod. After several drifts over rough ground, the boat moved to cover some flat, sandy areas. Here the party boated blonde and spotted ray, red gurnard, dabs, turbot, plaice and a brill.
