Midland Lakes and River Inny by Dermot Broughan
The weather over the past week has been very good with dry spells however the evenings have been getting cooler.
Lough Ennell
Lough Ennell anglers, again for the fourth Sunday in a row, fishing the Sleator cup on Sunday the 30rd of September. Conditions were not the best with a very cool sunny day.
However three fish were weighed in and Kenny Kiernan took the day.
Lough Owel
The Garda club held a competition on the lake during the week and 20 anglers weighed in 24 fish. The winner was a fish that tipped the scales at 4 lb. 14 oz.
Dr Waldron was also on the lake during the week and had three nice fish for his troubles.
River Inny
Water levels were high during the week and no anglers were seen fishing the hot spots.
