Brendan Sage of Templemore and District Angling Club tells us of their recent league competition which was held on September 15th:
Last leg of the league competition was held today in very difficult conditions, but fairplay to all who braved the elements both the seniors and the juniors, well the competition winner today was Jason Delahunty who fished very hard and concentrated on the smaller fish, tactics that paid off for Jason, he was followed by James Murphy in second place.
The juniors drew a blank today but the league was won by Jamie O Meara who proved over the previous legs that if you fish hard you can pull far enough away to afford to draw a blank, Jamie was chased all the way to the final by Ned Kinnane, Siobhan green and Daniel Devanney, the winner of the senior league was Chris Cummins, closely followed by Allan Sage,Jason Delahunty, Francis cummins,Paddy Deegan, congratulations to Chris and Jamie, and a big thanks to all who supported the competitions all the way.
