Saturday 18th April will see our Feeder Development Squad out for the first time as a team for some competitive angling.

An ‘International Friendly’ will be played out on the shores of Lough Gowna in County Cavan fishing against the Go & Catch Feeder Fishing Team representing Lithuania and representing Poland.

It’s an ideal opportunity to introduce the squad to international competition fishing with CIPS rules and a trial for an open event in the future. We are delighted with the interest from Fishmaniak and Go & Catch to fish alongside the squad and learn about international standard angling.

The teams will be contributing to the purchase of trophies and medals so we can recreate the podium experience with a presentation on the shore followed by a BBQ.

Everyone is welcome to come along to see the event and meet the Garbolino Feeder Team who will been on hand to support the squad.

Garbolino Team Ireland Feeder

In 2014 the NCFFI Feeder Team celebrated a historic silver medal win for Ireland at the 4th World Feeder Fishing Championships on Inniscarra Lake. With a three year sponsorship deal in place with Garbolino the team are set to represent Ireland on the world stage again at the 5th World Feeder Fishing Championships in Holland next July.

New for 2015 is the formation of the NCFFI Feeder Development squad a stepping stone for those anglers who wish to improve their skills fishing alongside the team during practice sessions and other events.
