The NCFFI on the All Ireland Feeder Club Championships fished at Inniscarra over the bank holiday weekend…
Day 1
Five eager teams were making the most of the good fishing on Inniscarra Lake on day one of the 2019 All Ireland Feeder Club Championships. The event, fished to CIPS international rules, takes place over two days and also serves to select the team who will represent Ireland at the World Feeder Championships in Bulgaria next year.
CM Lakelands Feeder Club, the only club to take part in the qualifiers, won the day with 4 section wins and a second for 6 points including the top weight of the match for Paul Leese.
Day One Results
- 1st CM Lakelands GREEN 6pts
- 2nd Go & Catch Feeder Fishing Team 13pts
- 3rd Inniscarra Lake TDL 16pts
- 4th CM Lakelands BLUE 17pts
- 5th South Munster AC 23pts
The five man teams fished the sections A Concrete, B & C Garden Centre and D & E Graveyard.
Day 2
The two-day championships concluded today with the CM Lakelands club winning the All-Ireland Feeder Club title of 2019. The green team consisted of Team Ireland Feeder Team Manager Brenton Sweeney who took two sections wins for the individual angler of the match, Paul Leese, Alan Larkin, Neil Mazurek and Artur Czarnocki all travelling from Cavan/Monaghan to take part.
Second in the championships was Go & Catch Feeder Fishing Team whose members Robertas Zilaitis and Rimantas Kondrackas took second and third individually. Well done to CM Lakelands Club who qualify to take part in the World Feeder Club Championships and will travel to Bulgaria to participate next year.
An average 10kg per angler per day when fishing in teams to international rule represents the great fishing to be experienced on Inniscarra.
