Pawel Orlow reports from the last  Fishmaniak pike boat competition which was held last weekend (14th of June ’15) on Skeagh Lake in Co. Cavan. A total of 11 club members took part in this event. The competition started at 9am, following a meeting and short briefing during which each team got a club measuring tape and instructions. Competitors used spinning and trolling as fishing methods. The event was great and we had lovely weather a mix clouds and sun.

The competitors managed to catch 11 pike all together.  The biggest pike was a lovely 80cm which was caught by Wojciech Mazur.

The results of the competition are as follows:

1st place– Wojciech Mazur – 3 pike 218cm of total length

2nd place – Janis Kucans – 2 pike 203cm

3rd place – Maciej Tokarski – 2 pike 135cm

4th place – Pawel Orlow – 2 pike 130cm

5th place – Maciej Sikora 1 pike 55cm.

After the event the lads had their usual barbecue and the prize-giving.
