The weather over the past week has been very good with dry spells, however the evenings have been getting cooler.
Lough Ennell anglers again for the third Sunday in a row fishing the O’Malley cup on Sunday the 23rd of September. Conditions were not the best with a very cool sunny day. However four fish were weighed in and Paddy Whitelaw took the day with a trout of 3.162 lbs. Second was Naill Mc Cormack with a trout of 2.474 lbs and third Donal Stenson with a trout of 2.104 lbs.
The ITFFA’s Leinster Qualifier was fished on Owel on Saturday the 22nd of September. 113 anglers weighed in 82 fish on a day when conditions were not the best for angling. Greg Long took the day with a bag of trout of 5.781 lbs.
