Paul Harris of Dromagowlane House and bearaseafishing.com reports on the fishing around the Beara Peninsula recently…

07/08 I’ve been a bit busy lately so I forgot to post a few reports. Mark and Jason were over for a four day assault on the Bantry Bay fish population and had over 30 ray to 8 lbs during their visit. their best session was 16 fish from Norfolk Falls and they also nailed some big huss with the best a cracking 14 pounder falling to Jason.

Father and son team Chris and John Saunders were over for their annual visit and despite up and down weather found some good ray and huss.
Pollack fishing has been excellent with plenty of fish feeding on sand eels and several double figure fish have been taken in sessions which have been literally ‘a fish a chuck’.
