The Edenderry Coarse Angling Club brought their summer season to a close at the weekend with their last match on the Grand Canal. Luckily, the fishing didn’t disappoint, ensuring they finished the season on a positive note. David Cullen pulled an end peg out of the draw and put the prime position to good use, getting a ‘bite a chuck’, which he converted to 7lb 15oz in the net, giving him the top prize on the day. It was a close call between second and third, with Pat Gill just edging Alan Larkin by an ounce.
